Port and starboard sea chests were secured through a blanking method adapted to the actual access conditions.

Field challenge
On a vessel with 14 metres draft, the receiving circuit was farther aft and less accessible than expected.

Actual access to both sea chests was checked.

Two methods were evaluated against the grid structure.

Full-grid blanking was selected because of restricted access.

Three main circuit valves were replaced during a six-hour blackout.

Customer outcome
The access constraint did not stop the operation; the method was adapted and three valves were safely replaced within the window.
